Week 2 Listening Exercise

Social Listening

The brand I'm going to be listening about is Allann Brothers since they are one of my favorite coffee places.

The value proposition for Allann Brothers is that they create an experience for the customer whether they are frantically preparing for an exam, getting coffee with a friend, or just getting their morning coffee. They provide a nice sitting area with Wi-Fi so students, writer's, or business people can do the work they need to.

"Putting in time at the office," one person says! And the company responded, "we are happy to be your office anytime." The company responded by being open to everyday people using their sitting area for their work area. They value their customers and would love to see them come back. I know I have spent countless hours at Allann Bros working on my homework and studying for finals.

This next one the person said, "Found a great place in downtown Eugene for coffee." Another person responded, "glad you found it. long time fav and Eugene staple." This shows how valued the company is and that the environment is why people come back. They start to build friendship with the barista's the more the come in.
This last one says, "Crazy eyes! National coffee day is good, but even better when your favorite coffee brand order shows up." If I had been the company I would've responded by saying how grateful I was for them and their dedication to the company and say how blessed I am to make their National coffee day even better.

Allann Brothers sells coffee, tea, cold brew, baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and more. Their main focus is the coffee and tea. With their excellent customer service, they are able to sell their brand.

One of the big aspects on marketing is their logo. It's on all their cups and signs, and is recognizable in the area. They also have it on their cars and trucks for deliveries. With those vehicles being driven around, they are being use to market the brand and people want to try it out. One of the challenges that they face is how many competitors they have and that there isn't a drive through. They compete with Starbucks, Dutch Brothers, Coffee Culture, Human Bean, and Tried and True Coffee. Half of those you are able to quickly get your drink and head off. While Allann Brothers allows you to sit down or take your coffee to go, but if you're in a rush to class and don't want to get out of the car that would cause a problem. The customer would probably choose a different coffee shop.

If I was the brand manager, I would really listen to what my customers are saying. Sure there might be a lot of good things being said about the company, but there are some things that people say they wished for. Some were talking about the food and how it isn't like it once was. I would really pay attention to that and maybe even pose a question to the customers. Maybe ask them what they want on the menu. I could also focus on the transactions and be able to tell what people order the most of and what they order the least of.
